Sometimes LEGO likes to release small sets as small gifts to stuff into holiday surprises. The themes of these bags usually vary as much as the larger sets that LEGO makes. There are, of course, sets that are designed to represent a particular holiday like Easter, Halloween, or Christmas, but there are often more choices than people realize.
These small sets can be found in a variety of retailers in random locations. Some will stock them in the seasonal section, near the cash registers or in the toy section. The truth of the matter is, you’ll never be certain.
The other issue behind these small sets is that even LEGO will not announce them. Therefore, they’re often a big surprise to the hardcore LEGO fan as much as to the person receiving them as a gift.
